What is Office 365 Pro Plus?

We are all familiar with the standard applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, which can be found in the online version of Office 365, which offers us many other resources, both in terms of communication and teamwork solutions, mobility, and cloud-oriented services.

What is the Cloud?

The term Cloud, which we hear so often, covers all remote storage solutions: data, instead of being stored on hard disks or memories, is available on remote servers and accessible via the Internet.

Cloud computing is an IT system that allows users to benefit from a complete IT infrastructure at a distance. It offers the possibility of outsourcing a large number of IT services (data storage, application hosting, data backup, etc.).

What about security?

Office 365 mail automatically meets 10 privacy compliance standards. Microsoft ensures a high level of security for both data and access visibility. For example, emails are never scanned for advertisements and the data within them is neither read nor shared with third parties. The control of the latter is fully customisable.

With Exchange, there is no need for virus scanning software. To counter external threats, online solutions like Exchange Advanced Threat Protection are included in Office 365 for added security. For internal information, Exchange administrators control permissions (printing, transferring, copying sensitive information).

The Data Loss Protection (DLP) offered by Office 365 also allows administrators to control transport rules, actions and exceptions, without affecting mail flows.

SharePoint offers, in combination with OneDrive for the Cloud (authentication, authorisation and infrastructure security), security as a platform as well as for teamwork, as well as in terms of connection, from anywhere or with any device the user connects.

Mobility: keep working in the office or elsewhere

Many of the tools in Office 365 allow you to be mobile and still have access to your business environment via smartphone or tablet. These are the same applications you have been using for years, but with the advantages of the cloud. The Office Online suite allows you to use synchronised versions that are always up to date, on five workstations.

Better productivity

New decision support features are now integrated, for example with :

  • Word, adding comments via your Android or iPhone phone is possible. It is also possible to modify documents...
  • Excel, improve a spreadsheet or create one, collaborate on workbooks with your colleagues in real time, access formulas, even graphs...

And for teamwork, co-editing Word, Excel and PowerPoint is done with confidence and also allows to gain in efficiency. Sharing, inviting, collaborating, viewing history, seeing progress, enjoying shared visibility and staying connected are all possible with Office 365.

Collaborative and storage tools

There are four main interactive tools, which ensure fast, efficient collaboration between colleagues or people outside your organisation.

The online version of Outlook offers many advantages. Just like other software, it is available in an online version that allows you to stay connected and productive from the office, home or anywhere else. When a file needs to be attached to an email, a list of recent documents is displayed, saving time when searching.

Sharepoint allows you to store and share content. It is a kind of mobile and intelligent intranet. Content can be easily accessible, which contributes to dynamic collaboration within an organisation. Sharepoint allows for structured management of corporate and web content, document libraries, and has various collaborative components (forum; calendar and task lists, etc.).

OneDrive is also designed to store, manage and share files. Access is possible from anywhere, and so is editing and sharing. OneDrive guarantees the security of not losing photos, documents or other items. OneDrive also allows you to collaborate on large files.

And finally Teams!

In the health context that we have been experiencing since the beginning of 2020, this tool has really taken off! Need to chat with a colleague in teleworking mode? No more calls, now it's Teams!
